What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address. We also store event submission and gameplay data you enter while using Cruxsight, associated with your account.

How we use it

Your data is used solely to provide the Cruxsight service — things like displaying your submissions and personalizing your experience. We do not sell or rent your data. Anonymized page-view analytics are processed by Vercel, our hosting provider, as described in the Cookies section below.

Data storage

Your data is stored in Supabase, which is hosted on AWS infrastructure. Supabase has its own privacy practices that also apply to your data.

Cookies and sessions

We use cookies to maintain your authentication session. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless analytics service that collects anonymized page-view data (pages visited, referrer, country, browser, and device type) to help us understand how Cruxsight is used. It does not use cookies or persistent identifiers — your IP address is used only to derive your country and is not stored. This data is not linked to your account or personal identity and is retained for 30 days. We rely on our legitimate interests in understanding site usage as the legal basis for this processing. We do not use advertising or behavioral-tracking cookies.

Analytics data may be processed in the United States by Vercel, Inc. Vercel participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which provides adequate safeguards for transfers of personal data from the EU to the United States.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. We will remove your data promptly. If you are in the EU or EEA, you also have the right to object to our analytics processing under legitimate interests; because analytics data is anonymized and not linked to any individual, we are unable to action per-person opt-outs, but you can block analytics requests using a browser extension or privacy-focused browser.
